Fandango Talks About New Moon, and Fall Movies

Fandango talks fall movies and of course New Moon is one of the highly anticipated movies coming out this fall.

Vampires and werewolves form opposing cliques in the season's supernatural heavyweight, "The Twilight Saga: New Moon," with Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson back for the second chapter of Stephenie Meyer's vamp-schoolgirl romance.

"The vampire-werewolf feud makes for a nice exploration of our own psyches, said “New Moon” director Chris Weitz.

“I suppose they’re the two most relatable human monsters that we can think of. They nicely encapsulate restraint and passion,” Weitz said. “Vampires are cold-blooded, literally, and werewolves are hot-blooded.”

Britney Spears and Family Spend The Day At The Pool

Enjoying a day with her family, Britney Spears was spotted earlier today (August 31) poolside in Miami, FL.

The “Circus” singer showed off her buff bod in a purple bikini and had quite the entourage with her today, including her two sons, mom Lynne, dad Jamie, and sister Jamie Lynn with her daughter.

The happy family looked to be having a wonderful time splashing in the pool, reading magazines and enjoying the each other’s company.

Just last night Brit Brit was in Philadelphia, PA for her “Circus” tour and tomorrow night is heading to Orlando, FL.

The following are information on the scene and about Bella's wig and actually I agree with Lainey about that thing they put on Kristen's head!

Shooting today – Kristen Stewart’s “Bella” with her mom played by Sarah Clarke who arrived yesterday in Vancouver shooting a scene that’s supposed to be “Florida” at a beach house while “Edward” hides inside from sun.

That f-cking wig is busted.

This cannot be the best wig they could find. The hairline is embarrassing. It’s like Jacob’s hairline from the first movie. Is this Jacob’s wig? Did they recycle? Come on now. Even Ken Paves can do better than this.

Taylor Lautner Teen Vogue Photoshoot!

New Moon's Taylor Lautner is ready to flex more than his muscles. The young actor would like to show off his acting chops by going up against the industry's heavy hitters.

“I really look up to Denzel Washington as an actor. I’d love to do a film with him one day in the future," he told the magazine. "That would be my dream come true. And I love the action-drama films like Matt Damon and Brad Pitt do.”

Despite setting teen hearts fluttering in the Twilight series, Lautner keeps a grounded perspective on his new-found fame.

“I think fans would love anybody who played Jacob. I’m just lucky to be the one who got the chance.”

And what about that summer romance with Selena Gomez? Lautner stayed a gentleman and kept the details slim, only offering: "She's a great girl."

Catherine Hardwicke Says Kristen Can Pull Off Raw Emotion

Twilighter Erin had the opportunity to attend the Twi-Tour convention in New Jersey this weekend. She had the opportunity to query Catherine about Kristen’s ability to pull off Bella, and the response was impressive.

Erin asked:

Fans are concerned about Kristen’s ability to pull off the depth of Bella’s depression and sorrow in New Moon – did she really shed tears in Twilight, like the reveal scene in the forest leads us to believe?

Catherine very confidently told us, “Yes, that is the last thing I would ever be concerned with – NO ONE can pull that off like Kristen – she is the real deal and truly feels it that deep. And that emotion in the reveal scene was totally real and all Kristen!... you have nothing to worry about – she will nail it!”

About the scenes – the day before (Thursday), “Bella” and her high school friends were in the cafeteria, excited about graduation. During filming for graduation the following afternoon, “Jessica” gives a speech.

You will see attached a photo of a Twilight fan arriving in Vancouver from Germany. Her name is Sabrina Frank. Sabrina won a contest and the prize was that they created a character for her to play in the movie. Am told exclusively that her character’s name is Vera and Vera is somehow involved with Jack Huston’s “Royce King” and Nikki Reed’s “Rosalie”. Huston is pictured here leaving Vancouver.

Before leaving they all shot together in the park a scene that takes place in Rochester in 1933 in which Royce leers at Vera while an oblivious Rosalie is next to him. Later on, Rosalie (still human) is seen alone with Vera who has a baby. I’m sure you Twi-Hards can put it all together.

Onstage the affable trio shared an obvious rapport, crediting some of their bond to cuddling on-set to keep warm during rain-drenched shirtless scenes. They shared several funny anecdotes from filming "New Moon," including Meraz's embarrassing moment with Kristen Stewart.

"I decided, all right, the Wolf Pack stay up all night looking for who's killing people on the res, so we don't sleep very much. So I thought it would be a great idea if I stayed up for 10 days straight." What should have been a simple scene — a confrontation between Bella (Stewart) and the Wolf Pack — became, in Meraz's mind, his "Brando moment." Wanting to try something different, the actor played the scene overly aggressive: screaming, grabbing Stewart by the throat, hurtling his line at her.

"[Director] Chris Weitz comes off-set like, 'Yeah, I like the energy Alex, but just take it down a little,' " Spencer chimed in: "Meanwhile the producers are freaking out back there."

" 'Cause nobody touches Kristen Stewart," joked Meraz.

Things get even more heated for Meraz when he phases into a wolf. For "New Moon," Weitz told the actors to envision the phasing sequences as a "pop like popcorn," which meant the actors only had to do a little shake before CGI took over from there. For the novel's wolf mind-reading sequences, the trio said it would be portrayed on film through quick glances. "With real wolves, that's actually how it's done," Meraz said. "The alpha male does things just with its eyes."

Emile Hirsch stays cool with Into The Wild co-star Kristen Stewart. He jump-started her career by recommending her to Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke.
