R.Pattz or the Gosselins: Who Owned Summer?
What a summer. It had some excellent movies, amazing TV shows and some incredibly sad moments as well.But who owned this summer? What was the story that had you in its grips for the past three months?
Was it the rise of vampires? Whether you were talking Robert Pattinson and the Twilight gang or all those sexy True Blood stars, bloodsuckers were everywhere.
Or maybe it was reality families: The marital woes of Jon and Kate Gosselin tore up the tabloids, while the huge Duggar clan made a sly move toward taking on the mantle of top reality-show family. (Heck, if each of the kids had a TV, they could probably double their ratings.)
Perhaps it was the wealth of talent lost this summer: Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, DJ AM.
Or it was aliens. Not only did hunky Chris Pine get it on with a gorgeous green lady, but District 9 was a surprise alienated hit about bigotry, fear and the surprising appeal of cat food.

New Interview With Chris Weitz
So is all this [indicating the Bella’s house set] going to stay up though?
Chris: You know it’s funny I’ve been knocking it around in my head what the best thing to do would be. I would imagine what they are going to do is to disassemble it. Because I mean you know it looks great, but it’s not really up to code. I’m not sure that it would withstand a BC winter and everything. I think probably what they’ll do is take it apart and put it into storage and build it back up again while still I imagine maintaining a rent on this land would be my best guess.
So we can see that people can actually go in the house?
Chris: Yeah well the interesting thing is in certain angles it is perfectly dressed. But if you were to look at other angles you could see that it is just an empty core. So that when Jacob jumps in the window, which he is going to do eventually, then we have enough to be inside the window to have Bella step back as he comes in, but you wouldn’t see the other way around into the window- then we flip to the interior- but hopefully when it all comes to the movie and editing it will all be seamless in the way it comes together. You’ll never notice that kind of stuff so its a smooth cut.

Peter Facinelli Back In LA
The Eclipse cast seems to have gotten the long Labor Day weekend off and Peter Facinelli and Kellan Lutz decide to come home to sunny LA for the long weekend. Peter cracks me up with his Tranformers hat & ACDC shirt. That is quite the combo COOP. Kellan Lutz is americana fresh and gorgeous as always. I am slightly drooling cause he is so mouthwatering.

Jackson Ratbhbone Talks About 'Eclipse,' Fans, and 100 Monkeys
The Twilight Saga: New Moon star Jackson Rathbone was featured on a Virgin Radio show recently, and he talked about everything from his fight training for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse to being a part of the Twilight film franchise generally.One thing fans will note is Rathbone's quick deflection of a negative comment (much like those discussed in this article) that fans were "freaky."
Said Rathbone, "Well, first of all, I gotta say our fans are real sweet."
It was also interesting to note that the way that Rathbone found out how big the Twilight series really was came from a distant relative.
Rathbone also talked about his band, 100 Monkeys, saying that they've become kind of a "music making machine."

'New Moon' Actor Kiowa Gordon Reveals How To Tell The Wolves Apart
Sure, if you want to kick it old-school, you can gush over Taylor Lautner or spend your days wishing Robert Pattinson would bite you. But if you're a cutting-edge Twilighter, you've already turned your lusty gaze toward the wolf pack — Jacob's Quileute kinfolk who will be introduced in November's "New Moon" and feature prominently throughout the rest of the series.Our vote for breakout beefcake is Kiowa Gordon, the Hollywood newcomer who portrays Embry Call in the upcoming films. Smart, friendly and a big fan of Stephenie Meyer's work, he's the guy who spilled the beans on the "muffin scene." Now, Gordon returns with more delicious "New Moon" details about his native heritage, tattooing the fans and how you can tell the wolves apart.
MTV: You and the other wolves are new to the "Twilight" series. Did you look to Taylor for inspiration, since he'd already been through a movie?
Kiowa Gordon: Yeah. And he's really buff, so we look to that too. [Laughs.]
MTV: You looked to his buffness for inspiration? We've seen you guys without your shirts on, so obviously it helped.
Gordon: Yeah, well, when we showed up, they were like, "We got you a personal trainer. You guys are gonna train hard!" And so we were like, "Sweet, we get to work out!" And it was really fun.
MTV: Now that filming is done, how do you think "New Moon" is going to turn out, particularly your scenes?
Gordon: Well, our scenes were the most fun, I think, out of the whole movie, probably. I'm looking forward to seeing it in completion, because it looks great from what I've seen — all the photos, everything looks awesome.

Death Cab For Cutie Talk Edward Vs. Jacob On 'New Moon' Video Set
By their own admission, only one-fourth of Death Cab for Cutie have actually read anything from the "Twilight" series (guitarist Chris Walla, we're looking at you), but that hasn't stopped them from penning the first single from the upcoming "New Moon" soundtrack, "Meet Me on the Equinox."And that hasn't stopped them from weighing in on one of the series' central conflicts — the whole Team Edward vs. Team Jacob thing — when we visited the set of the "Equinox" video in Toronto on Wednesday.
"OK, so again, having only finished the second book, I feel like I'm sort of out on a limb a little bit, because I haven't started the third book," Walla told MTV News. "So I'm really excited to see the film and sort of see if I feel like I'm still out on a limb. Like, I love Jacob. He's great. In the middle of the book, he's the one who's taking care of Bella, and, like, where's Edward? What is he doing? What an a--hole! But he comes through in the end, and, you know, we'll see what happens."
"We were invited to see a cut that was five hours long. It didn't have any effects or Foley or music or anything in it. And we couldn't make the schedule work, because it was five hours long," Walla laughed. "We haven't seen anything more than anyone else has seen. We've seen the trailer, and that's really about it. ... I think the trailer looks great. There was the one scene where Jacob explodes into the werewolf, and it's like, 'How are they gonna pull that off? What are they gonna do?' And it looks great. So I feel like the whole thing is really going to work."

Robert Pattinson Is A "Prisoner"
Since Gossip Cop has become the destination for accurate “Twilight” stories, a production source came directly to us with details of the stars’ drama.There’s a reason you haven’t seen much of Robert Pattinson, other than on the set: “Twilight” filmmakers are trying to protect the handsome young star from the prying lenses of the paparazzi. “Every time anyone from the cast emerges from the hotel they’re swarmed by paparazzi,” says the inside source.
And Pattinson is the prime target.
“He’s a prisoner of the paparazzi,” the source tells Gossip Cop. “It’s a nightmare,” adds the source, explaining that Pattinson almost never leaves the hotel except to go to the set. And when he does, the crew has to go great lengths to find ways to transport him from one location to another undetected. Because of the paparazzi, the star has been unable to interact with his many fans.
Gossip Cop hopes the paparazzi will back off so Pattinson and the rest of the cast can concentrate on the film — and their adoring fans.

'New Moon' Is Fandango's Most Anticipated Fall Release
So big in fact that Fandango users picked “New Moon” as their most anticipated fall movie. That probably seems pretty elementary to your average Twilighter, or if you’re in any way aware of pop culture, but it’s still impressive. A whopping 39% picked the second “Twilight” movie; “Avatar” trails behind it at only 23%. The numbers drop off even more after that, with the number three placeholder — Roland Emmerich’s “2012″ — taking only 16% of the votes. Billy Burke Out With His Family, and Eclipse Details
Billy Burke who plays the father is still in town, tweeting about rehearsals, and hanging out with his girlfriend (?) and child. All filming on set this week take place at Bella’s house (on a sound stage) so Billy has been shooting with a busy Kristen Stewart.
My sources tell me exclusively that scenes include: “Bella” reading “Jacob’s” letter, Bella and Jacob and their angsty discussions, “Edward” telling Bella he’ll always love her and that she will always be “his”, and Bella hanging out with “Angela” (played by Christian Serratos) and they talk about boys and Bella’s Edward/Jacob love triangle.

Robert, Kristen and Taylor Will Appear At The 2009 Video Music Awards
You probably thought we were done with the blockbuster 2009 Video Music Award announcements. After all, we'd already hit you with news that Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift would be performing live at the at the September 13 show. But guess what? We're about to drop a pop-culture bomb of OME proportions."Twilight" stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will appear on the show to debut an exclusive expanded trailer for "New Moon," the second film in Summit Entertainment's vampire saga.

The film's first trailer premiered during this year's MTV Movie Awards, and now the 26th annual VMAs are shaping up to be another bonanza for devoted Twilighters. On the day of the show, MTV.com will debut the first single off the "New Moon" soundtrack, the Death Cab for Cutie tune "Meet Me on the Equinox." Based the second book in Stephenie Meyer's supernatural series, "New Moon" is set for release on November 20, while the soundtrack drops on October 20.
Airing at 9 p.m. on September 13, the Russell Brand-hosted VMAs will pit Lady Gaga against Beyoncé, as each pop star has nabbed nine nominations, including nods for Video of the Year and Best Female Video. Britney Spears has garnered seven nominations for her "Womanizer" and "Circus" clips in categories like Video of the Year and Best Pop Video. Kanye West, Eminem and Coldplay received four nominations each.
